  • Born and raised in Jamaica, Dillian had moved to the United Kingdom with his family when he was 12 years old. He had mentioned in an interview that he had endured a rough childhood in Jamaica where he had lived in a neighborhood that was infested by violent gangs. He had never even attended any school while he was there.
  • Dillian had also mentioned that he had taken up boxing in the UK to fight the mental scars that he had endured in Jamaica.
  • In October 2012, he had tested positive, during an in-competition drugs test, for the banned stimulant Methylhexaneamine (MHA). The news became public when he was en route to a news conference to announce his participation in a fight for the English title. The UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) organization had later confirmed that he was provisionally suspended from all competition. An independent National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) had claimed that the case had warranted a 2-year ban.
